Caroline Gadd

Caroline is the founder of MaST, a decision support tool for mental health providers used to improve the quality and safety of care delivery. She is passionate about transforming mental health services by co-producing digital solutions with mental health staff and people who use their services. In the third year of the NHS Innovation accelerator programme, Caroline has led the growth of MaST across eight Mental Health Trusts, the design and development of a range of MaST modules, and the acquisition of the business by Holmusk. Caroline started her career as a nurse and has worked in a variety of NHS, social care, and healthcare industry roles. She continues to lead the implementation and development of MaST in the UK and is exploring its transferability into new markets.

Creating hope through action on World Suicide Prevention Day

This Saturday marks the annually recognized World Suicide Prevention Day, organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention and endorsed by the World Health Organization. This day is critical to recognize, as we know that an estimated 703,000 people globally die by suicide each year. In keeping with this year’s theme, “Creating hope through action,” I wanted to reflect for a moment on the work we at Holmusk undertake with our partner NHS Trusts year-round to address this urgent matter.
